Bit-Phalanx is a fair-trade and non profit Artist & Events Management for new Electronic-based recording & performing artists based around the London and the UK.
Since our conception in 2006, we've had regular events in the Midlands and London, as well as gigs at well established events in Reading, Bristol, Brighton and even Malta and Lithuania; as well as having supported such legends as Plaid, Luke Vibert, A Guy Called Gerald, Si Begg, Ceephax Acid Crew, Frog Pocket, The Doubtful Guest, Fischerspooner and Funkstürung. Following several compilation appearances, self funded releases and collaborations, Bit-Phalanx is evolving and moving into a new era with a new home online and a new download service as it tests the waters as a net-label, giving its artists and others yet more creative output opportunities and hopefully adding another string to its bow.

Bit-Phalanx vs. Bitcrusher - 'Bit x Bit' split compilation - Out Now!
And now for another surprise release from Bit-P!
When one electronic music netlabel called Bitcrusher, and another called Bit-Phalanx find themselves both operating in London, it's perhaps inevitable that there paths would eventually cross. After swapping a mutually appreciative tip of eachs hat, the Bitcrusher guys were swiftly invited on board to host a chanel at the upper-deck Slient Disco of our tour finale, boat-party with Coppe' back in October. Since then, we have both provided six tracks from six each of our veteran artists for a all-new FREE split release compilation.
Joining six of Bitcrusher's finest, Jilk, Hot Roddy, Jash, Kramer vs. Kramer vs. Godzilla, Mr O and T-toe each provide a fine selection from the harsher end of their archives, for a proper smack in the face of a twelve track album.
'Bit x Bit' is available to download for free now from our releases page, or from the Bitcrusher website.
Previews available from the Bit-Phalanx SoundCloud now.

New Year Surprise! Jilk - 'My Techno Heart...' EP + first ever official music video - OUT NOW!
Happy New Year from all at Bit-Phalanx! What better way to start a new year than with a nice surprise?
In 2006 as Bit-Phalanx was taking it's first tentative steps into the world with just one artist under it's wing, and it was Jilk's first ever gigs received some genuinely rapturous responses and sudden bursts of shape-throwing as he debuted his newest track; the glitch-riddled bounce-fest, 'My Techno Heart Melts Your EMO Dribble'.
The track has gone on to be something of a live classic for Jilk and has been reserved specifically for such occaisions, having always avoided making it onto an actual release. Until now...
Following Jilk's debut commercial & physical release back in October (the delicate and lovely 'Carry On!' EP), Jilk is currently preparing for his debut full-length album later this year. But, to mark the start of a new era we felt it only appropriate to finally give 'My Techno Heart...' the overdue release it deserved. So we are very happy to finally announce it's very own remix EP, complete with a colletion of very unique remixes courtesy of Jonny3snareS, Kramer vs. Kramer vs. Godzilla, Mr O and T-toe (featuring current rhymesmith of the moment, Mr Shammi).
The EP is available to download now for FREE from our 'Releases' page.
Not only does 'My Techno Heart...' have it's own remix EP, but over the last 12 months, up and coming Bristol based director James Sampson and his talented associates have been painstakingly carving professional music video for the track, which we are immensely proud to finally be able to present to you.
Head over to the Bit-Phalanx YouTube channel to see the 'My Techno Heart...' video HERE.
On behalf of Jilk and all at Bit-Phalanx, we'd like to thank James Sampson, and all involved with the video and EP for all their effort and patience.
Happy New Year to you all. Brace yourself... 2012: The year of the Phalanx!

'Our Marriage Is Collapsing' - The 2011 Braindance! Forum Compilation - OUT NOW!
So, this is Christmas? What better way to celebrate than with a new tradition. Following the members of www.braindance.net (the web's leading independent online forum for all things Electronica) coming toghether in 2010 to compile a compilation album between them paying homage to the lost past time of roller disco, Bit-Phalanx played host to the collection which resulted in the compilation album 'Rexing Classics' in December, last year.
So it was perhaps a logical idea to follow this up one year later with another compilation, this time based solely on the theme of a rejected title from last year, 'Our Marriage Is Collapsing'. 19 hugely varying tracks from as far as Japan, USA, Trinidad, London, Bristol and Poole form this ode to disintergrating relationships, with bewildering results.
Cover art for the compilation was voted for within the forum, and saw Bit-Phalanx's own Kramer vs. Kramer vs. Godzilla take the 1st place (as well as contributing a track) with his touching family portrait. Bit-P veterans Jilk and T-toe can also be found amongst the cast of contributors.
'Our Marriage Is Collapsing' is available to download for free NOW from our releases section.
Thank you to all the Braindance members for their talents... and, Happy Christmas from all at Bit-Phalanx. x
